NAMES 2010!

On Wednesday, I met my parents on St Maarten. It was fantastic, but that’s not what we’re here to talk about, is it? I only bring it up now because my mom hand-delivered me this year’s baby names newspaper insert! On an island in the Caribbean that they cruised to, that’s next to the one I live on! My life is weird.

To those who are new to the blog, there’s a town called Rexburg, Idaho. I used to live there, and my parents still do. Rexburgites give their children the most horrible names (it’s a Utah/Idaho thing, as many of you already know). Each year at the end of March, the newspaper prints an insert showing off all the children that were born the previous year in the Madison Memorial Hospital, or at least the ones whose parents love them enough to pay the thirty dollars for the ad, and I look forward to it more than is probably healthy. This is my fourth year of posting the best of the worst to my blog for your entertainment. (See previous installments here, here, and here).

Let’s kick things off with the ever-popular Mix-N-Match category. Put a variety of first syllable options in one jar (the more Y’s the better!), and second syllable options in another jar, then pick two, stick them together, and name your kid that. Come on….everyone else is doing it:

Taivry
Zayden
Tamsyn (See comments)
Brailee
Emree
Tinley
Brenly
Treyton
Draidyn
Taysom
Maely
Breklyn
Tayzlee
And SEVEN Brinley/Brinlee/Brynlee/BrynLees

Next, the Sound-it-Outs. Phonetic spelling at its worst:

Autum
Trinidy
Kenadi
Jesee (shudder)
Cassydi
Addee
Dakoda
Madysin
Paityn (there were two of these, with this same spelling, ON THE SAME PAGE. How is that even possible?)
Rhyley

Invasion of the K's:
Kaibree
Kinzlee
Kysen
Kaislyn
Kaycen
Kynlee
Khloe (THERE WERE THREEEEE! One was 'Khloe Jazzlene')
Kasen
Kaelee
Kaydence
Kaydee
Kyler
Kooper (two!)

He's going to be a cowboy whether he wants to or not:
Blake Stetson

Possible misspelling of a branch of the military:
Amry

Possible tribute to an alma mater:
Devry

His mom's a 'Bachelor' fan:
Kipton

the "What the EFF???'s"
Qwayde
Klair
Blyss
Naveyah
Ledger
Vestal
Chyloh (I honestly stared at this for five seconds before realizing it’s supposed to be like Shiloh…I think?)
Treygon (2!)
Ridge
Payzlee
Lyrik
Riggin
Kham K (??)

Aaaaand the Worst Name of All:
Deizel. DEIZEL. A type of gasoline, misspelled in more than one way, only one of which I believe was intentional.

Discussion:

Point 1: I felt that there were less – key word LESS - totally wacko names this year (anyone remember poor little Crymson Rayne? Or Triton Duke?), or maybe I’m just becoming desensitized. But it seemed to me like some of those sorts of names were replaced by more K names, more Braxtens, more Eastons, more Oakleys, and more Rykers. I didn’t include these in my lists because they are names that have been in previous installments that I’ve already discussed and have come to expect. There was, however, a RyKer. Didn’t expect that.

Point 2: A note on that Naveyah. The AWFUL name “Nevaeh” (‘heaven’ spelled backward) has been gaining popularity for the past few years, and to take an already made-up name then misspell it seems like a sin.

Point 3: While perusing this year’s announcements (particularly when I ran across TWO Treygons, a name that cropped up two years ago), I made the realization that there MUST be expecting parents in Rexburg sorting through these names for a very different reason – IDEAS (or ‘idizz’, as they would say it). Which just doesn’t seem right. If you’re going to give your kid a made-up name, you can’t just use someone ELSE’S made-up name!! That’s like DOUBLE cheating!

  2. The only way to stop this problem is for the newspaper to stop printing it. I'm sure parents in Rexburg, without internet, are scouring this list annually looking for hot new names.

This list is legitimately where dreams go to die. Can you imagine trying to make it in any professional field with the name: Lyrik or Vestal. Ain't gonna happen. Giving a kid many of these names is like giving them a neck tattoo on the way out the womb... their guaranteed to end up either a) a bartender, b) a burned out athlete, or c) a DJ.

  3. Is it too late to change my child's name to RyDer???

    P.S. You're wrong--the names are still out-of-control crazy

  4. Bravo. I was hoping you'd do this again. The names are just as hilarious and terrible as ever!

  5. I would appreciate you removing the name Vestal from your post. I don't want it to get too popular before I have children. I've been saving it for my first born. Boy or girl.

  6. I look forward to this post every year.. Still blows my mind. Two of the worst names I've come across since your last post-- as in, I know their parents-- Riglee and Ryatt. Those poor little babes.

I actually took a lot of flak recently for posting about odd name spellings - I still say it's akin to child abuse in some cases!

  8. Tamsyn is actually a pretty popular name in England and Australia. Not a favorite of mine, but still.

  9. Are you kidding me? This is NUTS. Although, we do have a little cousin named Trager. YES, Tray-Ger. The mom wanted to name him Tray but the dad felt that was a little too...feminine, so he added the GRRRRR sound at the end to make it manly. What are these people THINKING????

  10. This list makes me want to cry. Then again, I just forwarded it to my wife and now all the "bad" names I've suggested will look fantastic in light of this list.

  13. I like your Aunt LOVE YOU FOR THIS TOO!!!!

Oh boy, Where have you been since 1996 when I have been keeping lists of hella horrible made up Utah baby names. One of the reasons I worked at Fuddruckers in Provo was to make it a point of asking every child there name and later on adding it to my list! Here are a few of my favs'

Thank you for putting all of this together. My husband will die when I show him. In fact he actually get ANGRY when I tell him the names! We too have discussed how the actual conversation goes on coming up with a name.

ALL TIME WorSt JATHAN!!! if this baby isn't gay by 6 months give it until 7 months and he surely will be.

    So...

  14. WHY?! WHY ARE PEOPLE DOING THIS TO THEIR CHILDREN??? Something must be done. For the children.

Using wacked-up spelling like "Cassydi" doesn't make your child unique. It makes your child the daughter of idiots.

    Come on people.

I was just sent this by a friend, who KNEW I needed to see this!
I just spent 2 years in Pocatello as a TV reporter, and couldn't beleive the names that came out of there?!? What are parents thinking!!?? I was actually working on a report about the "you-neek names" when, alas, I got laid off. But holy cow, you hit the nail on the head. Brilliant. I shall be forwarding.

  18. My friend posted this on FB and I realized I never paid attention to the baby names when I was living in Rexburg. And my friend did name her oldest daughter (born at Madison Memorial) "Madison" - which I thought interesting when that happened 10 years ago. Funny how 'Madison' is still popular.
Why do parents make up names when they want a unique name? Why don't they just find 'old-fashioned' names and then see where it comes up on the Social Security Name popularity site?
Alas.... that is not to be.
I honestly think that all the Idaho/Utah parents are trying to be cool inner-city parents who give their kids unique names, like Javon, Taneka or Taresha, etc.

  24. It never ceases to amaze me how selfish parents can be, and how many truly hate these beautiful little babies. These poor kids/teenagers/adults are going to have to spend their entire lives spelling/explaining/justifying why they were saddled with such stupid names.

I think payback should be what the child decides to have inscribed on the parent's tombstone. Revenge!

  25. I live down in Texas where babies have real yawners like Andrew and Grace. I so miss Utah/Idaho for the horrible awesomeness of baby names.

P.S. I have to point out that Tamsin/Tamsyn is a very traditional English name even if it sounds cheesy and kre8ive.

  26. I heart you in a way you cannot know. My sister and I, both recent Utah transplants from back East, have noticed these strange name trends here and have laughed until we've peed. But we've both lost touch with the most recent additions, so this blog post is a treasure trove for us. THANK YOU!!!

p.s. There is a kid in my daughter's kindergarten class here in Utah who is named, I kid you not, R2. Yes. It is real.

  28. Hahaha! I want unique names for my kids, too, but I'm already scared by the classmates of my preschooler: Tsebay, Oisin, Anais, KC, to name a few. (I'm sure they all mean something...meaningful). I don't live in UT or ID but I DID grow up in the Burg. Toooo funnneeee!

  33. My husband and I talk about this all the time. It makes us sick that there are so many crazy baby names out there.

For the record it isn't a Utah/Idaho thing to give your kids weird names. Just the other day I saw a lady's post about naming her unborn son Captain or Tiger. She doesn't live in either of those states. And the movie Baby Mama makes fun of New Yorkers giving their babies strange names like Wingspan and Banjo! It a nation wide epidemic.

I really hope we can all grin at this list and then remember that these will be our children's peers and our attitudes and seemingly harmless ridicule may result in generational bullying or hostility.

(and FYI, my children are Alex, Katie and Emma--named just before the HUGE Emma popularity explosion!). I grew up in Rexburg, and can attest to some pretty awful names, but sadly they live everywhere--I met someone who named their innocent baby daughter "ChewBecca". Yep.

If you REALLY wanted to give your daughter a "unique" name that NO ONE else in her class has--use the favorites from the last 2 generations: Linda, Sandra, Brenda and Barbara OR Jenny, Becky, Wendy, and Amy.

I live in a large city in the midwest and teach at an exclusive private pre-school. Even though I have "loved" Utah/Idaho names for years (went to college in Utah for 4 years and lived there a few years after graduation), I feel the trend for creative names is now spreading. This year we had a Bliss born to a family at school and my favorite, a Prayrie--that's prairie, as in Little House on the....Please continue to keep us posted--I have missed hearing these!

Have to tell you though, I had you pegged as a Mormon from the name of your URL! :D Swedish last names are a great tip-off, hee hee.

I know a Jaxon too. eck.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Love this, but sadly, I don't think it's a new trend. My husband's family hails from SE Idaho and they are terrific, but their names are, well, not. Early on (before I had REALLY examined those genealogy charts) we decided to use all family names for our kids, mainly because we're indecisive and it narrowed the pool.

So we got a Dalton, Nola, Lucy, and Jack (all names I like, though Dalton seems a little trendy in retrospect). Now we're stuck, because if we have any more kids we have to choose from DeVerle, Eldean, Velora, or Eudora.

    Guess we'll stop at four.

    Taden
    Ajiah (Pronounced Asia)
    Trinadee
Aricka (Pronounced Erica but of course had to be spelled differently
These two are at the top of my all time favorite horrible names list. Their parents had 11 children and on the last two apparently had a difficult time coming up with names. "Tenik" (He was number ten of course.) And Nevele (Eleven spelled backward.) AAAAHHHHH!!!!

  84. By the way...I am also a teacher in Utah and I can't tell you how frustrating it is to get your classroom ready for the year. You put all the nametags in on the desks, on the art wall, on their folders etc. Then the cute little kids and their "creative" parents come to back to school night and inform you that you have misspelled their child's name multiple times. Never fails. I have AT LEAST 2 or 3 EVERY YEAR!!

  85. If the kid's name is Khloe, the parents are fans of the Kardashians. Also, I read the 10 most hated names for boys and more than half of them rhymed with Aiden. (Caden, Hayden, Brayden, etc) and a lot of the most hated names for boys and girls happen to be the most popular too. Weird. Apparently there are 40+ names out there that rhyme with Aiden. I once met a 5 year old girl named Nirvana... but that was 15 years ago... names have gotten so out of control since then!

  86. Anais Nin was a very famous French writer, so Anais isn't a made-up name, although it's probably not what I'd choose for an American kid who will hear it pronounced anus her whole life.

I watched an episode of Sister Wives where they were talking about naming the next child Truely, and I really wanted to know if they were intentionally misspelling it.

Payzlee! Love it. I'm in Washington state, and we have a lot of the rhyming Caden/Braydon/Jaden etc. going on here. We also have a lot of Norse mythological names - my kid goes to school with an Odin and a Loki.

    P.S. Key word FEWER.

  87. I'm not sure how my friend Brooke came across your blog, but she shared it with me--specifically, she shared this post on crazy-A names. Because we just don't get it. The ridiculous spellings of otherwise kinda-cute names almost hurts me more than the made-up names. (I said almost.)

One of my friends named her kid Daxton. Dax.ton. What the what is that all about anyway? I think I'd rather name my firstborn George than Daxton (or Braxton, for that matter), and I really don't care for the name George. Why do my Mormon cohorts have to be so crazy when it comes to naming their babies? Nothing says I hate you like naming a kid Chyloh. I was quite certain it was pronounced Chill-oh myself, for a minute there.)

Pretty sure this post has won you another follower. Congratulations.

Say hello to Tazmania and Phuket, or Taz and Pookie, as they preferred to be called. The real unfortunate part was on the first day of school when the unsuspecting teacher had to try and pronounce "Phuket", there was a lot of "F- fuh-um, I'm not sure how to pronounce this name..."

  101. Anais I've heard, it is pronounced Ana-ees. Here are some of my faves: Vanity (she's related to me. Super cool), siblings Prince, Princess, Precious, Perpetual (so not kidding!), and to Anon above--is your Abcde in AZ? I knew a girl who named her daughter that years ago. She proudly told me how she was stoned one day and while doodling the alphabet sounded those letters out and saved that "name" until she had her kid.

  102. Anais is pronounced "Anneye" like "I lost "an eye" in a bar fight"

And it's true that in some European countries, there is an approved list of names you can choose for your kids, because that's socialism. However, I've noticed each time I visit these countries, there are more and more kids with the same names because the list is limited. Plus, they're picking the really old fashioned names that (many) Americans might find ugly like Vera, Hilda, Arnold, Alfred, Bertha, Harold, Norman/a, Ethel, etc. It's been a little tough for me when someone has a baby and I ask the name (expecting something like Ingrid or Erik and they proudly say "Oh, this is baby NORMAN or Merle" *barfs*

I actually know a few kids named Declan of different ages, too far apart in age to be "trendy" and from very nice, well educated families whose other children have normal enough names like Alanna, Siobhan, Erin and Brody. So some names might be normal but ethnic names, I don't think it's fair to hate on those.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I agree. I try not to let any names that are actually names slip through my radar, regardless of my feelings for them (though, like I said above, there always seem to be ones that still do...oops). A few names have been mentioned in the comments that definitely are legitimate.

I agree with those who worry about the children's futures because I have been in a position to hire people. The names with apostrophes and hyphens always end up at the bottom of the list. Some of them are simply too misspelled and I wouldn't know who to ask for if I called them back. "Hello, is Jez'zamynnah there?" WTF?! That wouldn't fit on a nametag anyway!

  108. I am not a huge fan of way out there names or too crazy of spellings but my name is spelled different and I have loved it, and by the way. All of my daughters have different spellings except one and hers is the only name is is pronounced wrong!

I think it is strange that a person with an untraditional spelling of a name would ridicule other parents choices in names. Jessie is not "traditionally" a girls name nor is it "traditionally" spelled Jessie. If you are going to pick on people for spelling their daughters name Jesee (or however they spelled it), you should not use your name on the blog, unless you are of course a man and your name is Jesse! Your name was probably an abomination to all those Pearls,Sarah's, and Abigail's that had "traditional" and "sensible" names. They probably thought those same things you are thinking about these parents.
Again, I don't think parents should give them stupid names like the Abcd that was mentioned above, but just because a girl is named Katelyn instead of the original Caitlin does not make them bad parents or "poor" children.

    Thanks,
Mandee (and I LOVE my name and I don't think my parents are stupid)

As I grew up I was always Jen C, Jenn C, Jenny C or Jennifer C (I was forced to wear a name tag through most of elementary) because there were so many Jennifer Christensen's in the world not to mention all the Jennifer something else's, Jenifer, Jeniffer, Genifer, Gennifer etc that plagued my growing up days (so even though my name was common I still have to always spell it).

There were 22 baby girls born with my EXACT name (middle name included) on my EXACT birthday in my EXACT hosipital. Everytime I went to the library I had to specify my full name, parents names and then finally my full address before I could even check out my books! Forget about going to the bank or doctor's office, what a nightmare!

I thought I'd be saved when I got married, seriously how many Ivie's are out there? Well there was a Jennifer Ivie that lived in my apt before me and all my mail got forwarded to her, she messed up my pell grants because of cars listed under her name and she was in the hospital giving birth at the same time as I did with my first 2 (if they hadn't been different sexes they'd probably been switched)!

This would be exactly why people give their kids different names and if you go back in history you will find that at one time or another "insert any name here" was questionable or actually a name for the other gender it's used for now (Ashley, Lorin, Shirley...)

You may think my kids names are 'funny' but there is absolutely nothing else that would fit them and I love them!

Yes. I don't care for the name particularly, but my aunt's name was Vestal. She made enough money to (most likely) buy and sell you. she made money from nothing, too. she had Grammy awards before her death a few years back. She was personal friends with a few former presidents.

Just something to think about. I'd never name MY kid vestal. I like more common names. (although, vestal isn't in the "made up" category. It's old school.)

My son's name is Hayden and I'd have to agree it is really annoying how many of these there are, and I DID my research! I only knew two Haydens when I chose the name, (a personal friend's child and actor Hayden Christensen). I looked at tons and tons of lists as my husband and I couldn't decide on a name and I was super nervous of choosing a bad name for my kid. NO WHERE on any of those lists did I see the name Aiden anywhere close the top, yet somehow it ended up as the number one name the year my son was born. It's really annoying, especially since the "H" isn't the easiest to hear so I always have to over-emphasize it and spell it out so people can understand what his name is. :(

  125. These were too funny! Thanks for the laugh. Having lived in Utah for 20+ years I've seen some interesting names. Shardean is one of the ones that still can make me both cringe and guffaw at the same time. An old childhood Mormon friend from AZ named 2 of her kids Shanda (F) and Taylin (M). A little bit of an eyebrow raise, but they seemed like nice kids.

I have a first name that is very common for my age group. I couldn't walk down the hall at school and hear my name called without at least 10 other girls turning around and saying "what?". So I completely understand the desire to give your own kids names that are less common.

My kids have "normal" names that are just a bit off the beaten path, not in the top 100. One of my girls is named Rachelle and it's funny -- a lot of people will read her name as Rachel. We figure they see the Rach, make an assumption, and just don't bother to keep reading the rest.

Anais is French and can also be pronounced as Anneesh, Zander is just the shortened form of Alexander and again is common in the Uk. Willow and Briar although a little unusual are also not particularly odd for the UK, so a lot of these are not as strange as they sound, it's just a cultural thing, a lot of US names sound weird and made up to us over here. Coby? Trig? Harley? Cody? It's just what you are used to, lots of old fashioned names becoming populare here, like Archie, Mabel - Mabel! Florrie, absolutely awful, just my opinion.

  135. What I really don't get are the parents who choose a spelling that is completely wrong phonetically for the way it is supposed to be pronounced. I will start with a simple one. I have seen both Tarra (TAHR-uh) and Tara (TEHR-uh) around for a while, but one mom named her child Tara and gets really mad when people pronounce it TEHR-uh. If you want TAHR-uh, you should have added an extra "R"!

Here are two crazy ones. Look at these two names and guess how they should be pronounced:
    Chiara
    Shaira

My guess would be "kee-ARE-uh" and "SHY-ruh," right?

    WRONG!

They are supposed to be pronounced . . . wait for it . . .

    A. has no known meaning in its current form and is not a commonly recognized name *somewhere* (though i hate names without meanings in general), or
    B. isn't a common name and does have a meaning, but refers to anything i can buy in a retail establishment,

I have *no* *business* giving a child that name. And if the first name is gonna be all unusual or funky, make the middle name something standard so the kid has an alternative. Remember, thirty years from now someone's gonna have to write that on a job application. You don't want your future boss to snort coffee out their nose when they read your resume.

  138. So, while I had fun reading this post. I agree with AtSmith wholeheartedly! Please enjoy this site, but don't make these comments in front of your kids. As a parent of kids who do have unique names (which I love and totally fit them!) these comments can come out hurtful when they are repeated on the playground.

I love my children's names: Trevelyan Lawrence(M), AlekZander(M), Taelynn Joy(F). I don't have any problem with that, our last name Wildman...that's a different story:)

Trevelyan is a name of English author I like - and a character on a James Bond movie/game that my hubby was playing at the time (totally subconsciously picked the name and then friends pointed it out to us). Everyone pronounces/spells it wrong, but so long as they don't call him Trevor, that's fine with me.

AlekZander is named that because we loved the name Zander, but wanted to give him something "normal" he could choose to go by if he wants to when he grows up. Though honestly my Zboy really is quite unique:) Just think, we almost named him AlekZander KirkPatrick Wildman. Yes, you may laugh at that one - thankfully I came to my senses - it's longer than the alphabet!!!

Taelynn (TAY lynn)is made up, she would've been Talyn(Tah lin) if she would've been a boy. If she really doesn't like it, then she can be plain Lynn or Joy when she grows up. For now, we all love our Tae.

At least, they're not as bad as my nephew Atreu (think Never Ending Story). I honestly think it goes in cycles - my Mother-in-law hated crazy names, so she named her kids Emily, Matthew, Erika, and Erin. Almost all her grandkids have unique names - because her kids hated growing up 1 of 4 in their class with the same name! I also know some sweet, lovely ladies named Zya, Wkl (Rachelle), and Xko (Echo) - (sisters). Just sayin...

I was waiting for the other female soldier to leave so I wouldn't hurt her feelings. I told my coworker that "Nevaeh" was the stupidest name I had ever heard. I asked her is she wanted to tell her child that the meaning of your name is just heaven spelled backwards? She wound up calling her Amelia which is a much more normal name and at least has a famous person with the same name. My sister also had a friend when we lived in Pocatello about 20 years ago named Fabula. Even back then what were people thinking?

  142. I've gotten some really good laughs from reading this post and comments - Thanks for sharing.
Personally I don't understand the crazy spellings that don't make sense to pronounce and then get really mad because you butchered their child's name when trying to say it or just crazy names in general, but to each their own I guess...
We named our daughter Ellvah (Elva), the reason for her spelling is Elva in Swedish (I grew up in Sweden) means eleven as in the number 11. If we ever move to Sweden I don't want her to be teased for being the #11. It also means fairy, but is spelled Älva (pronounced Elva). Using Älva in English wouldn't work as it would turn into Alva which is a completely different old Swedish name. Taking all of that into consideration we decided to come up with a spelling that would look and sound good + make sense without being #11. My daughters name gets misspelled and sometimes butchered but I nicely let them know how to fix/pronounce it and leave it at that. If they ask why it's the way it is I happily explain and I've only gotten positive reactions.

  144. As someone who has lived in Rexburg my whole life, what offends me is that people assume that Idaho and Utah are the only places where parents come up with odd names. I know more people (and children) with normal names than I do unusual names. And I'd also like to point out that not everyone with a unique name will grow up hating/cursing their parents... My parents named me Regency and I don't mind one bit, especially since my mom was considering Hannah, I would have been 1 of 2 Hannah Hansens in my grade not to mention that my brother married a Hannah...

    1. What a wit you are! I chose normally-spelled, classic, Family and Hebrew names and AGONIZED over them beforehand. We had narrow meaning/heritage/real/unusual/non-teasing guidelines plus had to avoid two extremely large families' worth of names. People adore my kids' names and go out of their way to say so on a regular basis, even 18 years after my first blockbuster (happened to also be my late Mother's name). I had a sought-after, locally "legendary" list of names that I closely guarded and never revealed a baby's name or gender until he or she appeared. I have five children and just found out there won't be more. Honestly I cried over retiring "The List" first! I mourn all the coolness unbestowed. When friends and acquaintances have babies they check whether their names were on "The List" and are thrilled when they find they've chosen one of mine! Once I put my list in my phone and told a couple friends, I'd leave the room and return to find them trying to "crack" my phone to see The List! That said, all of the following have been neighbors or associates' kids at one time or another. My list was not consulted, obviously.
      Aidan Quinn
      Jersey Brown
John Luke (I am a consummate Trekkie but..no)
      Geordi (above)
      James Kirk (?!)
Ilia (for the motion pic but also a bum-related
      body part)
      Boca
Siblings Jayvon, Tarvon, Trayvon, Antwan, and Bri-Annah
Febreze (before you say it, no, not Fabrice)
      Choklit
      Princess
      Nikon
      Akko
D'Licia (stripping by now I'm sure)
      Balboa

  145. I named my kid Ashburn, but that was from my family tree. It was better than Ephraim and Orange. Back in the 1600's One of the many Ephraim's of my family was named Orange Ephraim. -.-; So silly name trends aren't just this century.

  146. Seriously who cares what people name their kids? I have a Treygan, Trey for short. I wasn't trying to be cool or "inner city" I just liked it- the end. 6 other girls in my class had my name and I didn't want my kids to have popular names- so what? I'm irritated that people will write blog posts just to be offensive, just to make fun and put others down.

  147. Referring to some above comments, Oisin and Declan are both traditional Irish names that are quite common over here in the UK :)

  149. It seems like people are under the impression that real names can't be unique. But there are millions of real names out there. And thanks to the internet, you should have no problem finding a real name that your child won't share with anyone they meet. Not to mention the historical and cultural richness that a real name carries. So much better than something you just made up!

  152. Taysom is our sons name. It is an English name and it is a last name. And yes we 'googled' it prior to naming him. We also know three other Taysoms besides our son. My husbands name is Tanner and he was named after someone who's last name is Tanner... So my husband and son both have names that were surnames before they were used as first names. I don't find that weird at all but I guess everyone has their own opinion :) People are human beings and more than just their name.

  153. My parents made it simple. they just named me Bob. Spell it backwards and it comes out the same. Pretty hard to mess up even for a Rexburg Idaho guy!

  154. The most exceedingly awful piece of the children having these names are that the guardians will get frantic/chafed when you don't spell their kid's name right.

  160. Hi My name is Rebecca.i just want to share my experience with the world on how i got my love back and saved my marriage… I was married for 7 years with 4 kids and we lived happily until things started getting ugly and we had a fights and arguments almost every time… it got worse at a point that he filed for divorce… I tried my best to make him change his mind & stay with me cause i loved him with all my heart and didn’t want to loose him but everything just didn’t work out… he moved out of the house and still went ahead to file for divorce… I pleaded and tried everything but still nothing worked. The breakthrough came when someone introduced me to this wonderful, great spell caster Dr Zuma, who eventually helped me out… I have never been a fan of things like this but just decided to try reluctantly cause I was desperate and left with no choice… He did special prayers and cast a love spell on him. Within 24hours he called me and was sorry for all the emotional trauma he had cost me, moved back to the house and we continue to live happily, the kids are happy too and we are expecting our fourth child… I have introduced him to a lot of couples with problems across the world and they have had good news… Just thought I should share my experience cause I strongly believe someone out there needs it… You can contact him on spiritualherbalisthealing@gmail.com whatsapp +15068001647
