In the grips of an internal struggle. "It's so close I could touch it, but I won't, but I want to, but I won't"
Oh yeah, and Jon was there. We swam with it for over a half-hour. It would be no exaggeration to say it was one of the highlights of my life.

A BLUE BEAD. I finally found a blue bead!!! After only a year and a half of looking.
I can now die happy.

Hi Jessie. I found your blog through a friends blog list, but now I can't remember which friend. Anyway, I hope you don't mind that I "blogstalk" you :) I just thought I should formally introduce myself to lessen the creepiness of someone you don't know following your blog...hi, I'm Mindy :)
ReplyDeleteDo I MIND?? My week just got even better! I'm only disappointed I can't pull up your profile in order to stalk you back. Do you have a blog?
ReplyDeleteI would have touched it.
ReplyDeleteMe too...er...ummmmm...
ReplyDeleteI'm thrilled that a child of mine is so excited to swim with a sea turtle. What an adventure! Great pics too. Animal lovers make good people. (The blue bead is pretty neat too.)
ReplyDeleteYou should be able to view my profile now
ReplyDeleteHow did you not touch it? Gah. Those photos make me want to crawl through the screen and touch it! Happy about the blue bead--- nice timing!
ReplyDeleteI'd heard that they are really prone to bacteria and that touching them can cause disease, but now in researching that, it seems it might not be true. Still, I didn't want to scare it away. Plus, hawksbill turtles are an endangered species. So I refrained.
ReplyDeletejust NOW saw this post. the whole thing excites me to no end! esp the pic of you immediately after finding your blue bead; and your wind-blown hair and genuine smile make me happy! :) congrats!!
ReplyDeletenice bead ... glad you were able to finally find one, now you can hate me less ;)
