Free Idea: Nap Hotel

  • You can check in any time of day for an hour of napping (the one-person-per-room policy is strictly enforced).
  • The only things inside the small, soundproof, darkened room are a comfy bed, a nightstand, an alarm clock, a coat hook, and a glass of warm milk.
  • Punch-cards available. Buy four naps get the fifth free! That’s a whole workweek of lunchbreak naps!!!!

Someone's gonna be a billionaire.

  4. Wait, I missed the part where that Japanese hotel was only for daytime naps. Also, the part about the warm milk. And the soundproof quarters. Otherwise, the exact same thing.

  5. We have a dedicated nap room sponsored by the campus wellness center. Never tried it out, but maybe I should.....

  6. There is one in NYC. Called YeloSpa. I looked into it once when I was at work and so tired. I never actually went though. I still think I would like to just for the sake of trying it. You should try it when you come here next.http://www.yelonyc.com/spa/

  8. Can they be equipped with surveillance cameras so they don't turn into Nookie Hotels? Because I don't want to nap in someone else's splooge, real or imagined.

Actually, the cameras would probably attract rather than deter those who would use said nap hotels for nookie.

  9. They have those in Japan. There are vertically stacked "rooms" like the bunks in an RV but fully inclosed, or like chicken coops, and business people pay to sleep in them while they're on the go.

  10. Best job I ever had there was a nurses/health/something area in the building. If you needed to take a tylenol, had cramps, headache, whatever ailed you, you had up to an hour you could take there. I'd have cramps, take some medicine, and sleep for an hour -- and still be paid during that time.
